Barbara Sue Bryant

Barbara Sue Bryant, 82, of Baytown, Texas passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017 in Baytown, Texas. She was born on February 9, 1935 in Sweetwater, Texas to Oscar and Florine Bradshaw Marchant. Sue graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1953.

Sue was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Her primary job was being a domestic engineer, who took pride in her family. Sue enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking what she grew, baking, and fishing at Holly Park Marina at Toledo Bend.

Sue was a member of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church in Baytown and was also a member of the sewing club at Holly Park. She was a current resident at Swan Manor in Baytown where she deeply touched all the residents and staff. Sue cherished her time with each person she met at Swan Manor and considered them as her extended family.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband G.H. Bryant; and her grandson Corey Huffman. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son Steve Harvey and wife Julie of Phoenix, Arizona; her daughters Stacey Huffman and husband James of Dayton and Sherri Fenstad and husband Rob of San Antonio; her granddaughter Meagan Huffman; and a host of many friends.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6pm until 8pm on Thursday, June 1, 2017 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main Street, Dayton, Texas. A graveside service and committal will be held at 10am on Friday, June 2, 2017 in Palms Memorial Park Cemetery, 2421 S. Highway 146 in Dayton, with Pastor Mark Broussard officiating.
