Albina Ubnoskye

Albina Ubnoskye, 82, lifelong resident of Dayton, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at her home. She was born on July 6, 1935 in Dayton, Texas to Adolph and Stephie Dlouhy Kovalcik. Albina graduated from Dayton High School in 1953 and worked in food service for Dayton ISD for 27 years.

Albina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Eastgate. Albina was a member of the Shepard’s Staff and of South Liberty County Association of Retired School Personnel. She had several hobbies, some of which included reading, traveling and spending time with her family.

Albina was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Albert Ubnoskye; her son Larry Ubnoskye; and her sister Evelyn Petters. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children Sharon Shaver and husband Fred of Dayton, Kenneth Ubnoskye of Seguin, Richard “Ricky” Ubnoskye and girlfriend Judy Remedies of Hardin and Kimberly Rogers and husband Billy of Dayton; her daughter-in-law Paula Ubnoskye; her ten grandchildren; her fifteen great-grandchildren; her siblings Stephie Kolek, Felix Skarpa and wife Marie, Annie Mae Marek and husband Frank, Doris Stark, Martha Pollock and husband Edward; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Vincent Petters, Charles Kolek, Jr., Steven Skarpa, Frank J. Marek, J.E. Pollock and Raymond Zarsky. Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Ubnoskye, Donny Shaver, Darrell Ubnoskye, Matthew Ubnoskye and Jason Rogers.
